Shop Manager and Assistant Shop Manager

Shop Managers and Assistant Shop Managers supervise the day-to-day operations of our automotive repair centers. Responsibilities include ascertaining and quoting repair options and follow through on all steps of the repair process. In addition to writing and managing estimates, managers are accountable for the sales process and shop work flow. They are expected to build positive relationships with customers, insurance agents, appraisers and wholesale partners. They are accountable to the team of employees working directly under them, and are expected to perform administrative duties to be submitted to the corporate office.

Automotive estimating experience, Insurance adjustor experience, sales experience and/or computer skills are a plus. This position is sales performance driven, and requires supervising skills. Candidate must be customer service oriented, results driven and able to set and achieve budget goals. Shop Manager adheres to standards, fosters teamwork, handles pressure, and carries out upper-management directives.

Auto Body Technician

Auto Body Technicians are expected to repair structural and panel damage to all vehicles using Collision Champs Standard Operating Procedures. Auto Body Technicians are responsible for seeing to it that all repairs meet Collision Champs standards of quality, and are undetectable to the vehicle owner.

Skills include:

  • Removing and replacing sheet metal and flexible fascia as necessary.
  • Straightening and repairing sheet metal and flexible fascia or parts as necessary.
  • Restoring frame and unibody vehicles to proper (manufacturer’s) specifications using proper techniques and equipment.
  • Communicating with Paint Technicians, and Store Managers to see to it all vehicles are repaired effectively and efficiently.
  • Capable of all around teamwork in a fast production shop atmosphere.
  • Maintain work area in clean and safe condition.
  • Communicate with store manager on work status and unusual problems or additional work needed on a vehicle. Example: Hidden damage revealed at teardown, unusual or aftermarket finishes, damage on blend panels etc.
  • Communicate with store managers regarding levels of materials and supplies needed to maintain production schedule.
  • Effectively utilize materials so that there is no material waste.

Auto Body Paint Technician

Auto Body Paint Technician is to refinish vehicles to meet careers standards of quality. Duties include: achieve a coloring match for all vehicles, build and maintain color library, and study and master all Collision Champs matching tools. Prepare damaged or repaired area for painting. Paint parts and vehicles as quickly as possible in a fast production shop setting using Collision Champs standard operating procedures. Must supply own guns. Collision Champs is committed to hold the highest standard and up to date with the latest standard and up to date with the latest paint technology & EPA regulations in every state across the nation.

Experience up to date water based & UV products

  • Maintain work area in clean and safe condition.
  • Keep Store Manager aware of work status.
  • Alert the Store Manager to any unusual problems or additional work needed on a vehicle. Example: Unusual or aftermarket finishes, damage on blend panels etc.
  • Work with the Store Manager to ensure the paint department has the materials and supplies needed to maintain production schedule.
  • Effectively utilize materials so that there is no material waste.

Prepper and Paint and Body Tech Assistant

The Paint and Body Tech Assistant is responsible for preparing repaired vehicles for refinishing and assisting paint technician/body technicians, and Store Managers with the scheduled work flow.

Production Department Assistants communicate with Paint/Body Technicians and Store Managers regarding work status. Production Department Assistants are to provide his/her own hand tools, cabinet and tool box.

  • Maintain work area in a clean and safe condition.
  • Keep Production Team and store manager’s aware of work status.
  • Alert the Production team and store manager to any unusual problems or additional work needed on a vehicle. Example: Unusual or aftermarket finishes, damage on blend panels etc.
  • Work with the store manager to ensure the paint department has the materials and supplies needed to maintain production schedule.
  • Effectively utilize materials so that there is no material waste.
